Congratulations to the PSA Storm U15 C1 Girls on their 1st Place Win at the 2010 Schwan’s USA Weekend Cup. The girls went undefeated in their six tournament games playing teams from Wisconsin, Alaska, South Dakota and Minnesota. The championship game was played vs. Eau Claire with the Storm coming out on top with a 1-0 victory. The girls played with the same determination they have shown all season, not to mention having just completed their league play, which consisted of three consecutive games going into this tournament. Congratulations Storm Players: Alex, Anna, Breanna, Elly, Emily, Emma, Elizabeth, Janice, Katie O., Katie S, Mara, Marika, Morgan, Nicole, Rachel, Summer and Therese. Congratulations PSA Storm U15 C1 Girls for their 2nd Place Win at the Just For Girls 2010 Tourney in Des Moines, IA, April 17-18. In only two days the girls played five full regulation games with two of them going into double overtime and shoot outs! The storm defeated Lakeville, West Des Moines Freedom Royal (the 2009 Iowa state champions), Rushmore and Dakota Alliance. This brought them to their championship game vs. Wayzata Premier where they were defeated in a shootout. What isn’t known is that the girls went into this championship game at a major disadvantage to their opponent as their bracket required them to play one additional game (which turned out to be their second double OT w/shootout game) just prior to the championship game. The girls gave it everything they had and while they may not have come home with the 1st place trophy, they knew in their hearts they were winners. Congratulations Storm Players: Alex, Anna, Breanna, Elly, Emily, Emma, Elizabeth, Janice, Katie O., Katie S, Mara, Marika, Morgan, Nicole, Rachel, Summer and Therese. The PSA U14C1 Girls Took 2nd Place at the Grove United Soccer Memorial Day Shootout in Schaumburg, IL, May 28-31! PSA Infiniti played their first game against Green White Premier Saturday afternoon, dominating play and winning 2-0.  Their next contest was against CL Force Elite with another decisive victory of 3-0.  After two games, PSA Infiniti was ranked 2nd, pitting them in a semi-final game against the #3 team, Northwest United on Monday morning.  In semi-final play, PSA Infiniti, in a storm delayed and shortened game, tied Northwest 1-1, sending the game into an overtime shootout.  PSA prevailed in the shootout, scoring four of their five shots and advanced to the Championship game against Glenview SC GSC.   To PSA’s advantage, the Championship game was delayed due to storms, giving players a short but much needed rest under cover in a parking garage.  To PSA’s disadvantage, Glenview had a bye, making the Championship game Glenview’s first and only of the day.  Because of the delays, the game was shortened to two-20 minute halves.  Glenview scored half way through the first and the pressure was on.  PSA came out the second half and played well, keeping the ball almost exclusively in the attacking zone.  But Glenview played tough defensively and PSA could not overcome time and tiredness to put the ball in the net, losing 1-0.  PSA Infiniti is coached by Chad Morse.  Team members are Hannah B, Jillaine D, Mary G, Megan G, Maddie G, Sophia G, Sophie L, Maddie L, Jada L, Sarah N, Libby P, Meghan R, Hannah R, Kasey S, Katie Y and Michelle Z.

The PSA U14C1 Boys captured 2nd place at the Woodbury 5th Annual Summer Classic Tournament May 15th & 16th weekend 2010. Game #1 was against Mankato which ended in a 2-2 tie. Both goals were scored by Scott with the assists going to Joey & Cole. Game #2 was against Northfield and ended with a 4-1 victory for PSA. The goals were spread out with 1 each scored by Scott, Kyle, Joey & Nick. 2 were unassisted and 2 assists went to Sam & Joey. Game #3 was against North Metro early Sunday morning and PSA took home another win with a 3-1 score. 2 goals were scored by Scott with assists to Nick & Jannik and the 3rd goal was scored by Cole with an assist going to Joey.
The 2 wins and 1 tie gave PSA the right to go to the championship game which was another match up against Mankato for the tourney title. Mankato struck first and then scored on a direct kick. PSA answered that with a goal leaving the score 1-2. Then Mankato scored with a perfectly placed header goal off a corner kick. PSA worked hard to match up the score, but the game ran out of time and Mankato had the lead so PSA settled for 2nd. The lone goal was scored by Sam with an assist to Andrew B. The Boys are coached by Dan Galbraith & Steve Klucas. Pictured are: Back Row: Coach Klucas, Jake, Ryan, Nick, Scott, Joey, Billy, Teddy, Josh and Coach Galbraith.
