Congratulations to the
PSA U12C2 Boys "Black Knights"
who won the championship at the recent
Blaine Break-out Tournament May 3 & 4th at the Blaine
Sports Complex. They started out the tournament with 2
shut-outs on Saturday and another Sunday morning to
quality for the championship round.
Game #1 was vs. the Forest Lake Rangers and the Black Knights won
3-0 with strong offense and a tight defense. Game #2
was vs. BSC Blue Devils and PSA easily won 6-0. Game #3
was vs. St. Croix Revolution and the boys again shut out
the opposition to qualify for the championship round
with a 4-0 victory.
After 3 straight shut outs the Black Knights played for the
championship title against the bracket 2 winners, the
St. Louis Park Orioles who were also undefeated in their
division. The Knights pull ahead early and were at 1-0
at halftime and it quickly becomes 4-0 in the Knights
favor.
The end results were a win for the championship of 4-2.
The Black Knights scored 17 goals in this tournament and only let
in 2 for. Congratulations to and pictured are: (back

Congratulations to the Strikers,
who kicked off their
2008 campaign with the Midwest Soccer Challenge
tournament held April 18th through April 20th
near
Stillwater , MN . Their initial match was played
against a tough Cottage Grove team in frigid, windy and
wet conditions. Amy L. opened the scoring but
Cottage Grove answered with a second half marker to
complete the 1-1 tie. PSA looked to be in mid-season
form against
Woodbury in game two. Their dominating
performance resulted in a 1-0 victory by virtue of
Brittany S's
first goal
as a Striker. The Championship game promised to be a
stern test against the C1 Tonka United club. PSA struck
first with a rebound goal from Allie F. Tonka
fought back to tie the game with a goal in the 62nd
minute and sent the game to overtime. After a scoreless
first overtime period, Tonka scored the eventual game
winner on a high arching shot that barely eluded keeper
Emma B. after a near spectacular save.
Congratulations to the Strikers on a great tournament!

Dakota Rev President’s Day Tournament in Rosemount.
They fought hard against some of the best U11 teams in
the state to make it to the finals against a very strong
U11 Bangu team. The Eagles played a great game and had
a successful result which we hope is a sign for good
things this summer. Great job Eagles! The players in
the photo are from left to right starting with the first
