Program Events:

Three 6-week blocks: November-December, January-February and
February-March

Technical skills training for 25 minutes, followed by small-sided soccer
games for approx. 30 minutes

September 1st and ongoing until the start of the last 6-week
block of sessions

PSA uses online registration for all its programs.
To register,

You’ll need your User Name and Password to access the registration system.
Once in the system, you can register your child for the applicable program
by following the instructions.

Teams:
·
Teams are formed for Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st-2nd and
3rd-5th grades
·
Gender specific, if registration numbers allow
·
Formed primarily by CURRENT grade(s), “play-with” request and school
attended
·
Teams are formed based on the grade the child CURRENTLY attends. If a
“play-with” request involves players in different grades, the lower grade
player must play on the higher grade team
·
“Play-with” requests must be received prior to the Team Formation meeting,
which usually takes place one week prior to the start of each 6-week block
of sessions
Coaches:
·
PSA relies totally on volunteer coaches for winter program teams
·
Please volunteer to coach a team. The coaching is very minimal and consists
of supervising the players during the “game” portion of each weekly session
·
Coaches may get involved in the “skills” portion of the session for their
personal coaching education/development
PSA
Trainers:
·
Conduct the “skills” portion of each weekly session (approx. 25 minutes)
·
Observe games and provide coach/player feedback
Uniform:
-
T-shirt included in the program cost. Distributed at the start of each
6-week block of sessions

T-shirt should be worn for all sessions attended
Equipment:
-
SAFETY: A player must not use equipment or wear anything that is
dangerous to themselves or another player.
-
Shin guards are
MANDATORY for ALL players and
MUST
be completely covered by their socks.
-
Players should wear soccer shorts, although sweatpants may be worn.
-
Soccer shoes (no toe-cleats) are recommended, but tennis shoes may be
worn
-
Please bring enough water/sport drink (approx. 2 liters), in an
appropriate/safe container, to all sessions
-
If the child wears glasses, they should be secured with a head-band.
Balls:
-
All players should bring a fully-inflated ball to each session
-
Pre-K-2nd Grade use a size 3 ball
-
3rd-5th Grade use a size 4 ball
