Goals:
·
Develop players for the
Travel
Program. Players are given an individual assessment and program
recommendation
·
Introduce players to the more-competitive Travel Program activities.
Additionally, help prepare them for Travel Tryouts.
·
Provide an opportunity for future Travel Soccer players to improve their
soccer technique, skills and knowledge
Program Events:
·
Summer: May-July (8-10 practices, 10-12 games, 3 “skills” sessions
and Jamboree (3 Mini-Games)
·
Fall: September-October (11 practices, 5 games and Jamboree
(3 Mini-Games)
·
Winter: November-February (Two 6-week blocks. One hour per
session of “skills” and games)
Registration:
·
Summer: January 1st-March 15th (Standard
Registration). $25 late registration fee effective 3/16
·
Fall: July 1st-August 31st (Standard
Registration). $25 late registration fee effective 9/1
·
Winter: September 1st and ongoing until the start of
the last 6-week block of sessions
Age Groups:
·
U7: Birth dates from August 1, 2005 – July 31, 2006
·
U8: Birth dates from August 1, 2004 – July 31, 2005
Cost:
·
Summer: $199 plus uniform (approx. $50)
·
Fall: $149 plus uniform (approx. $50) if needed.
·
Winter: $160 when registering for both 6-week block of sessions
(STRONGLY RECOMMENDED) initially or
$94
each individual 6-week block of sessions
Play Days:
·
Summer: Monday & Wednesday (Boys), Tuesday & Thursday (Girls)
·
Fall: Monday & Wednesday (“Skills” sessions), Saturday or
Sunday afternoons (Games)

Winter: TBD, based on available Dome time
Teams:
·
Summer: Formed for both the U7 & U8 age groups
·
Fall: Formed for both the U7 & U8 age groups, if
registrations allow. May combine age groups
·
Winter: Formed for both the U7 & U8 age groups, if registrations
allow. May combine age groups. Teams formed
for each 6-week block of sessions.
Coaches:
·
Volunteer Coaches currently coaching in the Recreation and/or Travel Program
·
Have obtained the MYSA Youth License and have indicated a desire to coach in
the Travel Program
PSA Trainers:
·
Summer: Conduct all practice sessions, observe games, evaluate
players, provide coach & player feedback
·
Fall: Conduct all practice sessions
·
Winter: Conduct the “skills’ portion of each session, observe
games, provide coach & player feedback
Uniform:

Summer & Fall: Players wear a complete Adidas uniform for games. No
names on the back of the shirt please

New players can order and size their uniform at the PSA Office. Cost is
approx. $50
