Young Champions Volunteer Coaches

Volunteer to Coach your child's team in Young Champions!

The PSA Young Champions Program uses volunteer coaches. If you are interested in Coaching, please use the online registration form, contact the PSA Office or the Young Champions Program Director.

Young Champions Coaches are typically volunteer coaches that have coached in our Recreation and/or Travel Program.

Young Champions Coaches have obtained, or will obtain, the MYSA "Y" Certificate, and have indicated a desire to coach in the Travel Program

Summer Young Champions Coaches are expected to attend the MANDATORY Coaches Kick-Off meeting held in the late April/early May timeframe.

New Coaches must attend the MANDATORY Youth License to be held in the  late April/early May timeframe (approximately a 4-hour commitment).

Volunteer Coaches Are Essential to the Success of PSA!

You can’t beat the feeling of satisfaction and excitement when you see the look of success and happiness on the face of a child when they have made their first completed pass or scored their first goal. Each team needs at least one coach (preferably two) in place before a team can be formed.

Last year, we had over 320 coaches, and still had leagues that needed coaches. Don’t let a child be denied an opportunity to play soccer! Volunteer to coach today!

What should I expect if I sign up to coach?

  • PSA offers various training opportunities for the new coach and the experienced coach.
  • Coaching Clinics are offered for all levels of experience.
  • All equipment is provided, including supplemental written and video aids.
  • Rewarding experience.
  • A FUN summer!

Can a friend and I coach together?

Absolutely! Fill out your registration form with the name of your friend and we will build a team around your child and your friend’s child.

If you have additional questions please call the PSA office 763-450-3099

Coach a team….It’s fun and rewarding! Don’t let a child be denied an opportunity to play soccer.
